Shri. Sandeep Singh, an IAS officer of 2012 batch, is a B.Sc. in Physics and Maths from Kanpur University, Uttar Pradesh and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Harcourt Butler Technological University, Kanpur. Before joining the Indian Administrative Service, he has worked as Software Engineer for around 3 years, and had joined Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2011 batch.
He is currently working as Special Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Jharkhand. He is also holding charge of the Director, Audit Directorate, Director Treasury and Institutional Finance Directorate, and Director, Pension and Accounts Directorate in the Finance Department, Jharkhand.
In his earlier postings, he has served as Deputy Commissioner(DC) in Chatra, Sahibganj, Ramgarh and Dhanbad districts, as Chief Executive Officer of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) also known as PALASH, in Rural Development Department, Jharkhand, as Municipal Commissioner of Ranchi Municipal Corporation, and as Vice-Chairman of Ranchi Regional Development Authority (RRDA) in the Urban Development Department, Jharkhand.
